One of the best non-events ever cancelled happened (or didn't happen) on New Year's Day. At about noon, a group of about 40 people (mostly Checker's members) gathered at the Glen Park Tavern in Williamsville & decided to go for a run. For old time's sake, they decided to run the same revised "Resolution Run" course as last year.
Temperature was at about freezing & the streets were amazingly clear.
Annie Pyrak led all runners at a mostly gentle pace. Afterward, people gathered at the Tavern for the kind hospitality (and free bottled water)
- it was also Diane Sardes' & Gloria Santarpia's birthday. Many seemed to hope the run is not held again next year.
