Siesta Key, Florida

While many Checkers members were enjoying the Bengal Run, Garry & Rosalie Soehner braved the 65 degree temperature at 8 AM for the Siesta Key "Run for the Turtles 5K." About 700 runners participated in the beach run. Plenty of sea gulls & "snow birds," but not too many turtles. Times were 28:00 and 28:07 respectively, but remember, Coach, it was on sand.
